Karl Blanchet, Director of the and Professor at the UNIGE Faculty of Medicine, was appointed Co-Editor-in-Chief of the journal , together with Daniela Fuhr, Professor at the Leibniz Institute for Prevention Research and Epidemiology.
The journal provides a global platform for the dissemination of public health research, particularly on the prevention and control of infectious diseases, nutrition, reproductive and maternal health, sexual and gender-based violence, mental health, non-communicable diseases, health systems, and ethics in conflict and humanitarian crises.
Supported by an international editorial board, Conflict and Health encourages dialogue among all stakeholders and promotes comprehensive approaches to humanitarian challenges that integrate public health, political science and socio-economic perspectives. In addition, the journal aims to influence global health policy and humanitarian programmes through strategic editorials and thematic issues, and to advocate for systemic changes to strengthen the resilience of health systems in conflict-affected regions.
