SmartLab: laboratory activity monitoring goes digital

In the fall of 2020, the Faculty of Medicine launched the SmartLab project aimed at deploying an electronic tool for tracking research activities in its laboratories. The selected and implemented tool facilitates the daily operations of research teams and faculty core facilities while ensuring compliance with legal traceability requirements governing research. Generally, "Electronic Laboratory Notebooks" or "Laboratory Information Management Systems" offer numerous advantages:

  • Structuring and organizing information
  • Sharing information within the laboratory or between research teams
  • Sample traceability tools
  • Ease of implementing the SNSF data management plan
  • Standardization of procedures within the Faculty of Medicine to ensure consistent quality

The AV¶ÌÊÓƵ has chosen the tool from .
