Each year, the Faculty of Medicine offers PhD students in life science the opportunity to develop their scientific communication skills and, for the five best candidates, to win a grant to be used for attending a conference, a research visit or further training.

A jury made up of scientists, representatives of foundations that support research and communication specialists will select the most convincing candidates on the basis of two criteria: an oral presentation followed by questions, and a video made after professional coaching.

New for 2025: a special public prize

The real challenge in scientific communication lies in the ability to explain extremely complex subjects to a non-specialist audience. That's why Booster is launching a new prize this year: one awarded by the public. Whether you are a researcher, a student or simply interested in science, you have until 15 June to choose your favourite candidate!

Warmest thanks to the donors who are supporting this initiative: the Fondation privée des HUG, the Fondation Tuor and Mrs Jean Pastré.
