Type 1 Diabetes - Genetic

Motivated by an interest in applying quantitative and computational methods to understand complex biological systems, I pursued an MSc in Bioinformatics from SPPU, India, after completing my BSc in Bio-Technology (Hons). My Master’s research focused on developing computational models to quantify protein conformational dynamics, which sparked my interest in broader systems-level questions. This led me to join the Epigenetics Lab at CSIR–IMTech as a Bioinformatician, where I contributed to national-scale projects such as the Indian Breast Cancer Genome Atlas and tuberculosis epigenomic studies. In this role, I developed modular and reproducible pipelines for omics data, optimized analytical workflows, and applied statistical methods to identify cohort-specific regulatory biomarkers across heterogeneous clinical samples.
In 2025, I joined the CDGG group led by Prof. Timothy Frayling as a doctoral student for research aimed at enhancing Type 1 Diabetes (T1D) risk prediction and developing cost-effective screening strategies. My supervisors are Dr. Ferrat,  Prof. Oram and Prof. Frayling.
