I am a computational biologist with a strong interest in the intersection of basic and translational research in gene regulation and population genomics. I hold a Diploma in Mathematics from Humboldt AV¶ÌÊÓƵ, Berlin, and earned my PhD in Bioinformatics at the Max Planck Institute for Molecular Genetics. During my thesis, I applied machine learning to epigenomics data for genome-wide regulatory element prediction.

After my PhD, I completed a two-year postdoc in Manolis Dermitzakis’ lab for Population Genomics and Genetics of Complex Traits, focusing on longitudinal eQTL studies, including work on the MultiMuTHER twin study and the DIRECT consortium engaged in research on diabetes.

Currently, I am a Senior Postdoc (50%) in Christian Lüscher's lab in the Neuroscience Department of UNIGE, working on epigenomics data in addiction-related projects, as well as single-cell transcriptomics and epigenomics in Parkinson’s disease using human data.

In March 2025, I have joined the lab of Tim Frayling as a Senior Postdoc (50%).
