Very Successful Second IP & Innovation Researchers of Asia Conference 2020 (IPIRA 2020) in Jakarta on February 27-28
On the 27-28 February 2020, the took place at the in Jakarta. Over 150 presenters, chairs, and other colleagues travelled from around the world (Asia-Pacific, North America, Europe, and Africa) to attend IPIRA 2020.
IPIRA is an initiative created to provide a forum for IP researchers to discuss their papers and works-in-progress with other academics, practitioners, and policy makers. The Second IPIRA Conference was organized as a collaboration between the , the , the Intellectual Property, Government Procurement, and Competition Division of the , , and the Faculty of Law of the AV¶ÌÊÓÆµ.
Our Faculty of Law was represented at IPIRA 2020 by Prof. Irene Calboli, Academic Fellow at our Faculty of Law of the AV¶ÌÊÓÆµ (who is the initiator of IPIRA), and by Prof. Jacques de Werra.
IPIRA 2020 follows the , which was organized by the same institutions in collaboration with the on 31 January and 1 February 2019.
IPIRA is also linked to the IP Researchers Europe Conference (IPRE), which was launched in 2018 by the AV¶ÌÊÓÆµ in collaboration with WIPO and WTO, and is held annually in Geneva. The next edition of IPRE will take place on June 26 and 27, 2020 (call for application is open until April 10, 2020).
The Second IPIRA Conference was a remarkably successful event and the organizers very much looks forward to the Third IPIRA Conference that will take place in 2021. Information about IPRA 2021 will be communicated in due course on .
