A grant from the Geneva Lung League

Prof. Vladimir Katanaev from the Department of cell physiology and metabolismand Prof. Karl-Heinz Krause from the Department of pathology and immunology received the support of the for their project entitled “Wnt signaling pathway and SARS-CoV-2: the importance for lung infection and therapeutic potential”.
This research grant will allow their teams to investigate the role of Wnt signaling pathway in the effectiveness of SARS-CoV-2 infection. Researchers hope to find Wnt pathway inhibitors that can be coronavirus infection inhibitors and eventually become therapies to treat COVID-19.
