Radu Suciu is Senior Research Associate at the AV¶ÌÊÓƵ’s Interfaculty Centre for Bioethics and Medical Humanities. He holds a PhD from the Geneva and Sorbonne Universities.Ìý

Before joining the AV¶ÌÊÓƵ, Dr. Suciu was a research fellow at the AV¶ÌÊÓƵ of Fribourg where he worked on Medical & Digital Humanities projects. In 2013 he was the co-curator of the "Readers at work" (Le Lecteur à l'oeuvre) book exhibition at the Martin Bodmer Foundation in Cologny, Geneva. This exhibition offered an overview of readers' interactions with texts across the ages.Ìý

His university research focuses on the history of medicine in the Early Modern period with a special focus on representations of melancholy in medicine, literature and the arts. He is equally interested in representations of medicineÌýbyÌýthe current visual culturesÌý(off- and online).
