Raphaël Néré
Calcium, fat and immunity: the three-body problem
Graduated with a Master's degree in Fundamental Biology from Paris and a Master's in Biochemistry and Functional Genomics from Sherbrooke, Raphael is currently pursuing his doctoral thesis in Professor Nicolas Demaurex's laboratory. His research focuses on the regulation of a protein through the addition of a lipid molecule that facilitates calcium entry into cells. His discoveries contribute to a better understanding of T lymphocyte activation, cells that protect the body against infections. Outside the laboratory, Raphaël enjoys hiking to admire the beauty of Swiss mountains and lakes.
