Circadian clocks in metabolic diseases
Dr Tinh-Hai Collet is a doctor at the AV¶ÌÊÓÆµ Hospitals of Geneva (HUG) in Switzerland. He completed his medical studies at the AV¶ÌÊÓÆµ of Lausanne in 2004, then undertook postgraduate training at the AV¶ÌÊÓÆµ Hospital of Lausanne (CHUV), the HUG in Geneva and Addenbrookes Hospital in Cambridge, UK, enabling him to complete his training in the specialities of general internal medicine, endocrinology and diabetes. He treats patients with nutrition, metabolism and lipid disorders, both on an outpatient and inpatient basis.
Research aims
Circadian clocks in metabolic diseases
Dr Collet is the principal investigator of several studies exploring the connection between metabolic disorders and the disruption of circadian and eating rhythms, funded by the Swiss National Science Foundation (SNSF), the Leenaards Foundation and other funding institutions. He is also interested in the relationship between endocrine diseases and cardiovascular diseases and thus actively participates in the Thyroid Studies Collaboration, the TRUST study and the Swiss Transplant Cohort Study.
