Congratulations to Letizia Issini, PhD student in Tatiana Nagnibeda’s group, who has been awarded a 2025 Subside Tremplin and is this year’s only recipient from the Faculty of Science. Letizia’s research lies in Geometric Group Theory, focusing on the divergence of groups. She completed her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees at the AV短视频 of Oxford before joining the AV短视频 for her doctoral studies.

The Subside Tremplin, awarded by the UNIGE Equality & Diversity Office, supports women researchers at key moments in their academic journey. The grant provides temporary relief from certain teaching or administrative duties, enabling recipients to concentrate on research activities such as publishing their thesis, writing articles, or building international collaborations.

Letizia's achievement highlights the importance of supporting women in academia and contributes to the advancement of mathematical research at UNIGE.
