Two new academic interns at the Platform

The Platform hosts two new interns in the spring semester of 2025.

After the successful experience of last year, the Platform is happy to welcome Keisha Masungi from the Faculty of Law of the AV¶ÌÊÓÆµ and Éloïse Pelletier from the Geneva Academy of International Humanitarian Law and Human Rights.

Keisha Masungi

keisha-masungi.jpgCurrently in the final stages of her Master’s degree in International and European Law at the AV¶ÌÊÓÆµ, Keisha Masungi is determined to build her career in the field of international water law. She is passionate about human rights and international cooperation, and she aspires to contribute to meaningful projects while continuing to learn. Her academic journey began with a Bachelor's degree in International Relations with a specialization in law and she further deepened her knowledge during her Master’s studies. This background has allowed Keisha to develop a strong understanding of international legal frameworks and the challenges related to the governance of natural resources.

Keisha joined the Geneva Water Hub’s Platform for International Water Law to contribute to the development of an online training module on the links between water and human rights. Keisha commented that «This internship is a unique opportunity to apply my expertise in international law to training field actors on humanitarian law and water management in conflict settings ».

Éloïse Pelletier

eloise-pelletier.jpgÉloïse Pelletier is a student at the Geneva Academy of International Humanitarian Law and Human Rights. She has experience within international organizations, law firms and NGOs and she is dedicated to the defense of fundamental rights and international justice. Passionate about humanitarian and environmental issues, she has contributed to research on human rights violations in conflict zones and participated in awareness-raising actions for the protection of children.

Eloise said that: “I chose to intern at the Geneva Water Hub because of its unique engagement at the intersection of international law, diplomacy and water resources management”. She is convinced that access to water is a fundamental issue for peace and human rights and she wishes to deepen her expertise on the legal and institutional mechanisms that govern water governance in conflict contexts. She commented: “Working within an organization that promises cooperation around water resources allows me to combine my interest in international humanitarian and environmental law with my commitment to sustainable and equitable solutions”.
