Registration for the PhD defence
PROCEDURE FOR REGISTERING FOR THE THESIS DEFENCE (AUGUST 2025)
Registration for the defence must be done at the Student Secretariat no later than 20 calendar days before the date of the defence.
Please send copies of ALL documents to the section secretariat so that it can prepare the Chair's letter ().
Registration is done in two steps, by e-mail
1) The doctoral student must send the following documents to the email address (in PDF format and named according to the convention indicated below) and a copy to the section secretariat ().
• Copy of the first page of your thesis in accordance with the required template modèle imposé (CandidateName_Page1.pdf)
• Registration form Formulaire d’inscription with a detailed list of the jury (CandidateName_Inscription.pdf)
• Thesis manuscript (CandidateName_Manuscrit.pdf: wetransfer or dropbox link recommended)
• One- to two-page summary in French (RG art. G7 para. 1) (CandidateName_Résumé.pdf)
2) The thesis supervisor shall submit the following documents to the mail (in PDF format and named according to the convention indicated below): and a copy to the secretariat of the Section ():
3) The letter from the Section Chair addressed to the Dean, certifying that all conditions have been met for the defence to take place on the date, at the time and in the place mentioned at the time of registration (CandidateName_Section.pdf).
• The thesis report, written by the thesis supervisor, concluding that the thesis has been accepted and signed by all members of the jury (CandidateName_Rapport.pdf)
