Prof. Daniel Pearce

Daniel Pearce was appointed Assistant Professor in the Department of Theoretical Physics in the Faculty of Science on June 1, 2023.
Daniel Pearce studied at the AV¶ÌÊÓÆµ of Warwick in England, where he obtained a Master's degree in Theoretical Physics, followed by a Doctorate of Science in 2014. He continued his research career at Warwick's Institute of Advanced Study, then at Leiden AV¶ÌÊÓÆµ in the Netherlands, before joining the Physics and Biology Department at the AV¶ÌÊÓÆµ.
A SNSF Starting Grant from the Swiss National Science Foundation enabled him and his collaborators to pursue their research in theoretical physics, specializing in active soft matter, while taking part in teaching in the Physics Section.
