2024 graduation ceremony and Biology Section awards
The award ceremony took place on November 15, 2024 at the Théâtre du Léman. The Biology Section would like to congratulate the new graduates and the following prize-winners:
- Laemmli 2024 Prize
Dr Vincent Louvel received the Laemmli Prize for his doctoral thesis under the supervision of , entitled “Revealing the nanoscale architecture of the cell with iterative U-ExM”.
The Laemmli Prize is awarded for an outstanding life science thesis in a field related to molecular biology.
- Prix Arditi 2024 for a thesis
Dr. Anna Höfler received the Arditi Prize for her doctoral thesis under the supervision of , entitled “Drivers of cell cycle progression: structures and functions of the E3 ubiquitin ligases TRIP12 and APC/C”.
The Arditi Prize in Life Sciences is designed to encourage researchers to undertake an original and ambitious program of postgraduate research leading to the degree of Doctor of Science (PhD) in the Faculty of Science.

- The Arditi 2024 prize for the Master's degree in Biology
Joana Pereira Couto received the Arditi Prize for her Master's thesis under the supervision of Prof. Walker, entitled “Cellular engineering and pharmacological strategies to optimize oncolytic virus infection of a glioblastoma cell line”.

Louise Gillon: “L'utilisation des organoïdes en recherche préclinique”, under the supervision of Prof. Marc Chanson
Elise Cochain: “Conservation and regulation of shox genes”, under the supervision of Dr. Raquel ROuco Garcia and Prof. Guillaume Andrey
