Professor of sociology at Paris 8 AV短视频, Nicolas Duvoux is an internationally-recognized expert on issues of poverty, inequality and social justice. His work has led to his appointment as Chairman of the Committee advising the Prime Minister on policies to combat poverty and exclusion (2023), and internationally as evaluator of the UN's annual report on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). His latest book, L'avenir confisqué (Puf, 2023), contributed to establish the issue of philanthropy in the French public debate.

He was a visiting scholar at Harvard AV短视频 (2012-2013), where he conducted an investigation on the role of philanthropy in the transformation of the American society and its social model. Following this experience, he created the Philanthropy and Social Sciences Program, which structures social science research on this issue in France.
