Fondation Schmieder-Bohrisch: Call for proposals 2023
FONDATION SCHMIEDER - BOHRISCH announces an annual Research Grants competition. This mechanism supports research projects directed by independent principal investigators at Swiss Universities and Research Institutions. The goal of this grant is to support innovative research projects on topics listed below.
Funded projects are supported with up to CHF 50’000.
TOPICS
We welcome innovative proposals based on sound science and truly original ideas related to
one of the following topics:
- Ear Nose Throat (ENT)/specifically inner ear
- Ophthalmology
- Organ transplant
APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS
All applications must be submitted by the principal investigator and completed in English, including the following paragraphs:
- Scientific abstract (1 page)
- Introduction to the topic, importance of the research (1 page)
- Specific goals of the project and detailed research plan (max. 3 pages)
- Brief budget outline (grant may be used for consumable, manpower etc.)
- Disclosure of all other funding sources
- Curriculum vitae, incl. a list of top 5 papers from the last 5 years
EVALUATION
Proposals will be evaluated by the Advisory Board of the Foundation. The central criteria for evaluation are originality, scientific quality, feasibility, experience and past performance of the main applicant, as well as relevance to the call. Grants are awarded on a competitive basis. Final decision for funding lies with the Board of Trustees of the Foundation.
Submission deadline is October 15, 2023.
Funding decisions will be announced by end of December, 2023
