My two main areas of expertise are bioinformatics and theoretical physics.

As a professor of theoretical physics at the AV¶ÌÊÓƵ of Connecticut, US, and the AV¶ÌÊÓƵ of Manchester, UK, I focused on inflationary cosmology, dark matter, neutrino physics, Beyond Standard Model (BSM) models, and numerical simulations in field theory.

Later, I shifted my interest and career to bioinformatics, which had long been a hobby of mine. I am currently leading in a range of bioinformatics projects related to the analysis of NGS data. This includes the analysis of whole-genome and exome DNA-Seq for human cancer genome studies; RNA-Seq and Ribo-Seq of mammals, yeast, and pathogenic bacteria to study transcription and translation processes; Hi-C analysis of chromatin structure; statistical analysis of gene expression and gene set enrichment analysis; as well as applications of machine learning.
