When we talk about Metaverse, we are not just talking about the next generation Internet, but about the next generation of human lifestyle. The key to Metaverse lies in immersive technology and immersive communication mode. Professor LI Qin, who is one of the few pioneers in the study of immersive communication in the world, will discuss its theory, practice and challenges, and illustrate how immersive communication will lead us to the Metaverse through case studies.
Dr. LI Qin is currently director of the National Communication Strategy Research Center, and Professor at School of Journalism and Communication at Renmin AV短视频 of China. She is a Graduate of the Columbia AV短视频’s Graduate School of Journalism, and is among the few pioneer scholars worldwide to study immersive communication. Her other research fields are global communication, international politics, and new media and social change.?
