Education is a fundamental component of a humanitarian response: it contributes to the physical and psychological protection of children, their families and communities; it supports and promotes the continuation of child development and learning and helps prevent drop out; it presents an opportunity to improve the reach, quality and relevance of education, within the framework of Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) implementation. A key part of being able to initiate, design and implement timely and quality education in emergencies (EiE) responses is having the education/EiE staff with the right competencies to do so.
Pedagogical method
Blended learning/100% distance learning; students must actively participate in the proposed activities.
Diploma awarded
The Master of Advanced Studies (MAS) in International Education and Research, specialization 鈥淓ducation in Emergency Situations鈥� is delivered by the AV短视频. It corresponds to 60 ECTS credits (European Credit and Transfer Accumulation System), i.e. 1800 hours of training. The degree is awarded to participants who have regularly participated in teaching and learning activities, and who have met the requirements of the modules and the thesis
Admission criteria
To apply for the听 MAS in International Education and Research, specialization 鈥淓ducation in Emergencies,鈥� you must have validated at least two Certificates of Advanced Studies (CAS) from the AV短视频 on education in emergencies: Education in Emergencies; Higher Education in Emergencies; Digital Learning in Emergencies.
