Visual Contagion a pour but d’offrir une analyse quantitative de la circulation des images et de repérer les grandes routes. Dans cette optique, nous proposons un livrable double. Le premier consiste en un rapport statistique et le second en un site web exposant les résultats par le biais d’une carte interactive (). Dans le premier cas, le rapport statistique cherche à mettre en exergue la description du set de données qui a été mis à disposition de l’équipe, à savoir des revues entre 1920 et 1939, une analyse complète de ce corpus ainsi que des circulations, une section méthodologique et une analyse juridique. Quant au site web, son but premier tient en la formulation des résultats de l’analyse du corpus sous une forme visuelle, la rendant donc plus pédagogique et accessible à tout un chacun. Le site web offre, outre la carte interactive, une présentation du projet, de la méthode, de l’équipe ainsi qu’une série d’explications concernant l’utilisation de la plateforme.

Visual Contagion aims to offer a quantitative analysis of image circulation and to identify the main routes through which images develop and spread. To do so, our project proposes two sources for the analysis we have completed. The first is a statistical report and the second is a website displaying the results through an interactive map ().
In the first case, the statistical report seeks to highlight the description of the dataset that was made available to the team, namely journals between 1920 and 1939, a complete analysis of this corpus as well as circulations, a methodological section and a legal analysis.
As for the website, its primary aim is to present the results of the corpus analysis in a visual form, thus making it both educational and accessible to a larger audience. In addition to the interactive map, the website offers a presentation of the project, the process, the team, and a series of explanations on how to use the platform.
