AV¶ÌÊÓƵ

Use of the Logotype by Third Parties

General Principles

The AV¶ÌÊÓƵ brand is protected. The use of its logotype by third parties (including but not limited to press releases, advertising, marketing documents, other promotional materials, presentations, case studies, reports, websites, application or software interfaces, and other electronic media) is prohibited without prior written authorization from one of the following representatives:

  • The UNIGE Communication Department, if the request to use the UNIGE logotype is submitted or supported by a member of the UNIGE community (Rectorate, Deans, Professors, etc.);
  • The Service, Division, or UER/UPER of UNIGE involved, if the use of the logo by a partner results from an institutional partnership.

The UNIGE logotype can only be used in the context of a formalized institutional collaboration and if the extent of UNIGE's involvement justifies it.

The UNIGE logotype cannot be used by staff for personal projects such as self-publishing, supporting associations or NGOs, etc.

If a member of the UNIGE community collaborates personally with a third party entity – for example, in the context of ancillary activities – outside the framework of an institutional agreement, the UNIGE logotype cannot be used.

On Third-Party Websites

The general principles outlined above apply.

The request for use is evaluated based on the content surrounding the logotype and the overall positioning of the concerned website.

The UNIGE logotype is used exclusively on the page referring to the relevant institutional collaboration, directly related to the fields or activities covered by the collaboration.

The UNIGE logotype cannot be used for other purposes, particularly for activities unrelated to the collaboration or aimed at the general promotion of the partner's activities. Any unrelated use will be considered abusive and equivalent to a serious violation of the partnership.

The UNIGE logotype cannot appear in a footer that displays generically across the entire site or on the homepage, unless it is a global collaboration essential to the partner's main activity, and such use has been expressly agreed upon.
