Volcanic ash as a secondary volcanic hazard
Volcanic ash can be remobilised and suspended in the atmosphere generating an important secondary volcanic hazard. The study reveals how volcanic particles are remobilised from primary deposits and how they deplete over time, with consequences to the environment and on the exposed communities.
