Archana Mehendale is an Adjunct Professor at the National Institute of Advanced Studies, Bengaluru, India. Prior to this, she has worked with the Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS), Mumbai and the Centre for Child and Law, National Law School of India, Bengaluru where she helped to design and launch the Post Graduate Diploma in Child Rights Law. Archana is a trained social worker with a doctorate in social sciences from the National Law School of India. Her research interests lie in the area of education law and policy, child labour, inclusive education and child rights. She was a member of the CABE committee which drafted the right to education legislation in India. She is currently based in the US.
