SDG Summer School 2024
At the halfway point of the SDG Summer School 2024, GREC is thrilled to see the inspiring progress of this year’s cohort. Under the theme Planetary Health, students from around the world are exploring solutions to the health impacts of climate change, showcasing remarkable dedication and innovation.
Last week, GREC Academic Director Christina Hertel led a brownbag lunch talk on responsible entrepreneurship, emphasizing the importance of sustainable innovation—a core value of GREC. Her discussion encouraged students to think critically about entrepreneurship’s role in addressing global health challenges responsibly.
The students' projects tackle real-world issues, including a smartphone tool for tuberculosis patients and a machine learning application for physical education in African schools. Each week, teams pitch their evolving ideas to a jury, refining their solutions toward a final presentation.
GREC is excited to watch these bright minds bring responsible, impactful entrepreneurship to life. Congratulations to all participants for their hard work—you are shaping a sustainable future.
