Addressing gender inequalities in finance
GSEM Professor Michel Ferrary’s research looks at the degree of feminization of large companies, and the impact of feminization on the economic and societal performance of companies. A gender mix of more than 30% at the middle-management level is positively associated with profitability, stock price evolution and corporate social responsibility.
In conversation with Stéphanie Chasserio (associate professor at SKEMA), he discusses the feminization of banks in Europe, the disproportionate impact Covid has had on women in the workforce, and the main obstacles to gender equality.
