In his research, he investigates ways in which digital technology lands in an informal and postcolonial city. He specifically wants to explore how the smart city model (through a variety of urban digital platforms) shapes the spatiality and governance of the city of Kigali. In so doing, He offers a grounded analysis of the production and co-production (from the grassroots) of the urban space.
