New publication: Corporate human rights due diligence and liability in armed conflicts

Our colleague听Mara Tignino, lecturer听at the Faculty of Law and the Institute for Environmental Sciences and听Lead Legal Specialist at the , wrote a new article in the journal听.听
This paper, entitled 芦听Corporate human rights due diligence and liability in armed conflicts听: the Role of the ILC Draft Principles on the Protection of the Environment and the Draft UN Treaty on Business and Human Rights听禄听argues that the principle of enhanced human rights due diligence is particularly adapted to the situations of armed conflicts and post-conflict settings. Given the sensitivity of these contexts, private companies could be more easily involved in violations of human rights law during and after armed conflicts. This principle could help to prevent these violations.
