Objectives

  • Learn to plan, guide, and manage an offline and online group activity
  • Ensure an inclusive, safe, open, and creative collaborative environment
  • Learn from field experts best online and offline facilitation practices
  • Practice facilitation lessons learned through case studies and group work
  • Adapt facilitation techniques to online and offline contexts

Audience

The target audience will be English-speaking professionals from the Greater Geneva area. Although the target audience is primarily English-speaking, the session may be duplicated in French at a later date, as needed.

Learning outcomes

At the end of the course, participants will be able to:

  • plan, guide, and manage an offline and online group activity
  • choose the most relevant facilitation techniques and collective intelligence approaches to ensure a safe, inclusive and creative environment
  • assume leadership responsibility in managing a group activity and collective intelligence
  • communicate facilitation guidelines clearly and unambiguously to different stakeholder groups

Pedagogical method

The training is based on applied learning principles. After a theoretical introduction, the training will be focused on experimentation. Participants will be invited to facilitate several collective intelligence sessions.

Remarks

  • Attestation of participation for participants taking only 1 or 2 modules
  • Attestation of completion with 1 ECTS for participants who take the whole course and successfully pass the final evaluation.
