The Cherenkov Telescope Array Observatory (CTAO) is the next generation ground-based instrument for gamma-ray astronomy at very-high energies. With tenths telescopes located in the northern and southern hemispheres,
heÌýLarge Size Telescope (LST)Ìýis one of the three classes of telescopes to be featured .ÌýThe prototype of theÌýLST, calledÌýLST-1, finished construction and was inaugurated on October 10th, 2018.ÌýLST-1Ìýis currently in the commissioning phase in the CATO northern siteÌýÌýat the Observatorio del Roque de los Muchachos on the Canary island of La Palma.

LHAASO is the world largest and most sensitive ÌýExtended Array shower for studying gamma and cosmic rays, in operation at 4500 m on the M.t Haizi in the Sichuan region. Since the start of its operation, ÌýLHAASO is providing significant result in the field.
It is composed by a Water Cherenkov array (WCDA), a surface particle array KM2A and a telescope array WFCTA.
UNIGE is member of LHAASO since its beginning and has provide some technologies for the ÌýWFCTA.
The project POSICS ( POsition-sensitive SIPMs Compact and Scalable CameraÌý) aims at the realisation of an intraoperative camera for Radio Guided surgery. It has been founded in the frame of the H2020 ATTRACT framework. The project is carried on by UNIGE in collaboration with teams in HUG and the research center FBK ( Fondazione Bruno Kessler)
Our group has a wide experience in experimental physics with a long standing background in particle and astroparticle detectors.Ìý
